Mission Statement
Art has unquantifiable power. To communicate, to inspire, to bear witness, to please and pleasure and tease and punish.
To evoke.
What speaks to one person may not speak to another. Something that stops you in your tracks might appear utterly benign to others.
Whenever something has such power or influence, some will seek to control, moderate, officiate, or restrict your access to it. Let the elitists argue about nuance, technique, market demand, and provenance. This gallery is dedicated to the experience of art–and whatever it might invoke in you. If it makes you feel something, if it speaks to you in any way, perhaps that’s good enough.
Much of this art has been rescued from being ‘recycled’ or otherwise disposed of. Some pieces were obtained by networking with friends and artists. Others were acquired through local galleries. All pieces were purposefully and conscientiously chosen by Liza Noir.
We hope you find something that speaks to you.
Ten percent of proceeds goes to Patches, a local animal shelter.
